Other Football - The Etihad Stadium

The Eithad in Manchester is another great stadium. There is a lovely walk from the car park to the ground, and, because there is lots of space, they have a really nice fan zone area where some of the youth team players (e.g. Dilrosun and Kongolo) spoke with the kids, there was q&a with legends (Nicolas Anelka) and live music playing as well. With plenty of seating and plenty of bars, there was a really good atmosphere around the place. For our second visit and on top of all this, the weather was lovely and my wife had won the tickets for nothing from Sky, so it was great all round!

This is a brief clip (of Liverpool v Napoli at Murrayfiled - July '19) to show how you can change one of the video box messages to your own video and keep the shape of it.

Murrayfield Stadium - Liverpool v Napoli

July'19 - This was a fantastic part of the summer. Murrayfield is a great stadium and it was sold out for the visit of Liverpool and Napoli. Anfield was getting refurbished at the time, so they decided to relocate to Edinburgh for this one. Liverpool rested a lot of their superstars, such as the African players, who were only just back from African Cup of Nations duty. Still though, the nephews were delighted to see some of their heroes. Our past experience told us where to stand to catch the teams coming off the buses. It was a bit weird with them all with their headphones in and still the crowd were cheering like wild. One of the nephews was singing You'll Never Walk Alone (no joining in from me), but he loved it! Personally, it was really good to see two of the best teams in Europe and some of the young talents Liverpool have in the pipeline. Harvey Elliot, aka Bunhead, looks an exceptional talent for his age. Harry Wilson looks a very good winger, although I am not sure he suits Liverpool's style of play. Van den Berg looks a very solid centre half as well. However, Napoli's first team players were far too quick and powerful for the Scouse kids and comfortably won 3-0. While Andrew Robertson got an especially great reception, it was the likes of Lorenzo Insigne who caused the most problems down the left-hand side. Verdi was also a major threat down the right-hand side cutting in on his favoured left foot, and Dries Mertens' movement proved a nightmare for Liverpool's young defence. Both sides will have enjoyed a good run out at an exceptional statement and Napoli's team bus managed to comfortably beat us out the city, so it didn't even take up too much time for them to arrive, play and conquer.
